CMS vs real estate teamplate

I have seen some pretty cheap real estate website templates for sale online. however, i'm not sure how to set them up on my server? you can just throw up a real estate template and then have a CMS backend where you can upload properties etc... I don't understand how real estate templates work.

Does anyone have experience with them?

While the template site companies can set you up with a quick presence on the Internet, these sites have problems that can be associated with them too.I will recommend a CMS instead of using Templates

Most of the time the template provider offers the exact same pages to every subscriber using their system and so you loose the impact of having a web presence that truly reflects your personality and professionalism if your site looks just like the next agent's site.

A template is the front end design...what the world sees when they view your url through their browser. The CMS component i what you need to make a real estate site function. You can have a real estate site without having a cms but it will seriously lack fnctionality. A CMS is a means to handle complicated data base fucntions with an easy user GUI (graphic user interface).
