Walk-Through Inspection A process whereby an appraiser examines a property in preparation for estimating its value. Also, the process of inspecting a property for any damage prior to that property being bought or sold. Warrnty An affidavit given to stipulate the condition of a property. The person giving the warranty assumes liability if the condition turns out to be untrue. Web browser Software installed on the Internet user's computer that allows him or her to view web pages. Popular web browsers include Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Opera. Webmaster A person in charge of administrating a web site. Web standards Widely adopted guidelines for CSS, XHTML etc. that help ensure that web sites are accessible on a wide variety of platforms and to a wide range of users. Whois Each domain has an owner of record. Ownership data is stored in the Whois record for that domain. Wiki Software which allows information to be published using collaborative editing. WYSIWYG What You See Is What You Get. This term is often used in association with software products such as Microsoft FrontPage, where you design a page and immediately see how it will look on the Internet.
