National Association Of Master Appraisers (NAMA)  
A non profit professional association organized in 1982, dedicated to the advancement of professionalism in real estate appraisal.

National Association Of Realtors
The association of Realtors dedicated to the protection and the preservation of the free enterprise system and the right of the individual to own real property as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America. Each member of the National Association Of Realtors must adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice designed to provide assurances to the public of the Realtors integrity and professionalism.

National Organization Of Real Estate Appraisers
An organization founded in 1956 which promotes standards of professionalism in its members.

Natural Vacancy Rate
The percentage of vacant properties in a given area that is the result of natural turnover and market forces.

Navigation bar (nav bar)
A web site's navigation icons, usually arranged in a row down the left hand side or along the top that plays a crucial role in getting site visitors to view more than just the home page

Negative Amortization
An increase in principal balance which occurs when the monthly payments do not cover all of the interest cost. The interest cost which is not covered by the payment is added to the unpaid principal balance.

Negative Search Engine Optimization or Negative SEO
The act of demoting a page or site from search engine ranking position or SERP using search engine optimization techniques (SEO). Most often used against a competitor that is above your site in the SERPS but can be used purely for fun. Not ethical for professional use.

Neighborhood Life Cycle
The evolution of neighborhood use and demographics over time. Economic fluctuations, municipal zoning changes and population shifts can effect the life cycle.

Neighborhood  
A subsection of a municipality that has been designated by a developer, economic forces or physical formations.

Net Leasable Area
The space in a development, outside of the common areas, that can be rented to tenants.
