If you have a real estate website, you need traffic to help you generate leads and turn leads into customers. However, marketing your real estate website is no easy task. You will need to write articles to help add depth to your site (Search engines treat favorably sites with a lot of unique content), you will need to get backlinks, ensure your meta tags are optimized properly, double check your internal linking structure, ensure you have good “sticky factor” on your website, ensure design and navigation are stylish and easy to use and much more. Marketing your real estate website is not rocket science. In fact, it’s pretty easy. However, it does take time and some of the jobs can be boring (i.e. such as backlinking). However, it’s these easy things which will push you to the top of search engines. We believe there are 4 main ingredients to a good search engine ranking.
All of those things can be done without hiring some “specialist” company that makes promises to get you to the top of the search engines. However, even though the above list is easy to carry out, it does take a lot of time. Writing articles takes time, getting backlinks is boring (See our solution here), planning your internal structure requires a good understanding of your sought after keywords and meta tags require a good understanding of your page content. But it’s all relatively easy stuff. The hard part is having the patience to wait for your hard work to pay off. With website marketing, the work you to today probably won’t be rewarded for 3 months from now. There is a strong element of delayed gratification with website marketing. A backlink you get today won’t help boost your ranking for another 3 months, they article you wrote yesterday may not get indexed for a month, it might not have a PR for 3 months, and it might not get found in the search engines for 6 months. So be patient and have fun marketing your real estate website.
