Real estate website blogs are exploding in popularity due to their journalistic style, interactive nature and personal perspective. Professionals in the real estate industry are now using blogs more than ever before as a promotional tool. However, blogs cannot be strictly promotional. Website visitors expect your website to be promotional in nature, however, they expect your blog to be a behind the scenes, non promotional, personal look at the industry from your eyes. You simply can’t re-publish your website content on your blog. Nobody would be interested in reading that information in blog format.
A great real estate blog called curbed. They publish in various cities but the one you’re looking at is for New York. They play great games with their site visitors such as ‘guess the price”, where they upload photo’s and floor-plan you try to guess the selling or rental price of a the property. The also use investigative journalism to find out what celebrities are buying where, what construction sites have problems within them, what to watch out for when looking at virtual pictures of places and so on. It’s very interesting to read even if you’re not currently on the market to buy or rent. Designing a real estate blog for your website is a great way to keep customers coming back time and time again.
