3 Elements: Real Estate Website Marketing

When it comes to real estate website marketing you need to understand 3 things very well. Links, content and relevancy. Inbound links to your website will mean your website is viewed as more “popular” with search engines and therefore ranked higher. Content is important because, like it or hate it, search engines love up to date content. Search engines love when real estate websites add more content to their site. This added depth helps push real estate websites higher up search engines. The highest ranking websites are usually those with the largest amount of internal content. If you do a search in Google for your site you can see how many pages you have by typing in “site:” before your website url. Type your site into Google using this format and see what happens

Site:www.yoursite.com

In the upper right hand corner it will say “showing 10 of approx 390 pages” or the equivalent to how many internal pages that Google has found of your site. You can do this test for yourself and find out that the top sites usually have the most pages.

Next comes relevancy. Both your links and your content needs to be about your primary subject matter. Irrelevant links will do nothing more than hurt your reputation and real estate website ranking. The same goes for irrelevant content. If your site is about New York City real estate opportunities and you’re publishing information on laptop computers, you’ll do nothing more than confuse search engines with regards to the main theme of your website and hence run the risk of hurting your real estate websites search engine ranking.
